is there a recommended spot to drill a hole to hopefully let any water out. either on the bottom of hull back near stern or directly on the transom next to/outside the plug shoot? yesterday i removed my seat and didnt realize 2 screws where missing so water has been getting in there for a while

Don't assume.

In the mean time, seal the holes (and all the others) with Life Caulk.

Assess the issue of water in the fall.

The season is too short.

How does it sit in the water?

I’ve had several wet whalers over the years. My current one is a 1985 Revenge 22, and she is definitely overweight. It sits a little low in the water I’m sure, but still floats and rides just fine.

Seal it up and enjoy the boat.
