Any opinions one way or the other?
Is it worth spending the extra money on the SS one from Specialty Marine?

The Gunnel mount and slides allow you to move the Sun Top outside and in front of the Bow Railings.

Thanks for the response. Mills quoted me over $1200, which I can’t afford. Any other options? I picked up an aluminum one which didn’t hold up very well. Also, I believe that was intended to be forward leaning in the closed position. It CC was installed rearward leaning, and as a result didn’t fold down in front of the bow rail. I’m either going to purchase another aluminum one or go with Specialty Marine’s rail mounted one. There was a stainless one I saw from Carver at over $1000.

You can buy after market sliders.
Here is an example of Taylor Made Slider assemblies.

I have owned a Mills, a Westland and a Carver bimini.

On my Montauk I installed 6' sliders on the gunnel top outside the rail alignment. This allowed the bimini to have two postions and be stowed outside the bow rail or aft.

Stainless option is the only way to go.

Carver makes a very decent top with stainless option. I have this on my current boat.
