2003 sport 150 Mercury 60HP water coming out above the intake??

Member Posts: 1 Comments: 0 Joined: 05/12/24	Son had our 15’ Whaler out today. Calls me and says boat won’t start. Get to him on jetski and he’s correct. As we are being towed back to the dock, I’m able to start the boat but no water out the tell-tale. We get it home, hook up the hose clamp to the lower housing and I’m able to unclog whatever had been clogging it and get a good stream out the pee hole. However I notice water coming out just above the intake that I’ve never seen before. Any thoughts on this? Cant upload video but circled in red from a screenshot is where. That hose feeds the optional speedometer and should be capped off if not used.
