Verify the engine is mounted 1 hole up, top bolt in the 2nd hole counting down from the top.
If not, raise the engine first. It will help.
If engine already one hole up, verify you have the factory supplied prop that was the 10.1” x 14” Spitfire.
Personally I would change to a 4 bladed prop rather than add a foil. With the Spitfire 4 bladed model, drop 2" of pitch to what you have now.
Moving weight forward really helps time to plane.
This model is not a speed demon. It has a published weight of 940lbs with only a 40hp engine. In comparison, the classic Montauk is 900lbs and has a 70-90hp engine.
