Member Posts: 1926 Comments: 16 Joined: 05/02/08	I know of a brand new, in the box, Evinrude white Etec 90 20" length, purchased new. leftover, from an Evinrude Dealer about 6 months after Evinrude stopped production. Although never used, the engine still has about a year's original warranty left on it. As we all know, this was a very popular engine for the classic 16' and 17' Whalers because of it's 320# weight. Does anybody here know if this engine still has its original value? Are these engines still in demand by Evinrude loyalists for a classic Whaler re-power, or has the interest in them now passed? At one time, the 90 was Evinrude's best seller. I am sure the owner (not me!) would sell the engine for the purchase price paid.

Personally I love mine. If I were to need a 90hp right now I would buy it in a second.
