I have a 2005 305 Conquest that has the large cockpit floor hatch. It is levered by three butt hinges that measure around 78mm long. Two of them have just sheared off in half. When I removed them, I realised that they are not screwed into the fibreglass but bolted into recessed bolt receivers built into the body work itself.
I have tried to find replacement hinges online in Australia, however the largest I can find is 74MM long, which doesn't sound like much, but when overlaying the new ones on the old ones, the recessed bolt holes do not line up exactly, which is really frustrating. And because the female bolt receivers are buried into the fibreglass, it's impossible to screw the new hinges in because they would be in the way.
Has anyone experienced this problem, found a solution or found the original hinge sizes to suit ? If so, I would appreciate knowing where from.
