Has anyone used a hydraulic jack plate on a 13 Whaler, if so what setback dimension was used. Could the engine be lifted and still have good water pressure. How shallow can you run.
I have a 10 inch setback on my 23 flats boat, but I have a tunnel and water pressure gauge. I can lift the engine up 6 inches and it still gets plenty of water out of the tunnel.
I am wondering how the 13 BW hull can be operated with a 4-6 inch setback hydraulic jack plate.
By the way, my Jack Plate is from Bobs Machine, it seems superior to others such as cmc etc. lifts 6 inches in 5 seconds, which is nice if you get shallow real fast and need to react quickly.
