Currently in the process of restoring my V-20. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the specialty marine gunnel caps https://www.specialtymarine.com/colle...1413360758 or with any of their wood products. I see some individuals on here have tried to find templates for the caps and have them made at local lumber yards or make the caps themselves, but for 494 bucks it seems much easier to just buy these bare and oil them.
Also, if anyone knows any quality places in Maryland or PA that will replate the Chrome plated Bronze 60 degree rail bases and the bow chock please let me know.
Thanks for the info Phil. After working with the gunnel caps for a little bit I am starting to think they are neither original nor teak. The cut/assembly of the wood along with the grain is not looking right. Very disappointing.
