my 2007 240 Outrage currently has a 2006 Mercury Verado 250 on the back that I am looking to replace. With the 250 the boat has always felt slightly underpowered and is quite a gas hog.
I am currently looking into the new Verado V8 300 which has been raved about quite a bit. I don't want to go to twins. Now, does anyone run that hull or a similar hull with a single 300 on the back? Maybe even with the new V8 Verado? If so, whats your experience?
Dont have first hand experience, but I would think that motor would work great on that boat. Though I have read that it tricky to get dialed in with motor height and prop. Mercs like to be mounted high and maybe play around with props. For sure that motor is a beast.
