I'm looking at a 2001 Dauntless 220 which has a small livewell moulded into the port transom corner. the boat also has the huge aft seat/storage/fishbox.
I'm concerned that to access the livewell one would have to kneel on the big fishbox and be in a precarious position in the ocean with big seas or a big confused chop.
I'd appreciate opinions from users of this arrangement. Is this at all workable?
The rear port corner is a difficult place to access. Boston Whaler also has an option to have a livewell under the rps. This is a larger livewell and very easy to access. It should be an item you can purchase from your local dealer and install.
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have seen these on newer boats ast the dealer. Very impressive. I'll check into whether they are available to fit older models.
