Dear Joe,
This is a classic Riva, i think Aquarama or modified Tritone.
This is the whaler of europe!
See this http://www.rivarevival.com/riva_spec.htma_spec.htm
These boats my friend are ROCKETS! They reach 40 Knots for
fun!!! And are true head turning classics.
Like the first ad said... Rolls royce with Ferrari's performance!
Sight for sore eyes

Joe for starters I'll take one! - even though she is not a Whaler she is a beauty!
The name Garwood on the side is that of a wood boat manufacturer. The made boats in the 20's, 30's and 40's - it also says new.
Here is a link to their historical site.

Here is the link to the new models they build.

That IS a remade Garwood. Beautiful boats. Around Northern Michigan we have VanDam Woodcraft who have made a couple similar boat designs and lots of other custom boats.

I've been around boats all my life and I truthfully say that this is the most magnificent boat I have ever seen. Every thing about it was spectacular from the wood to the interior. You could actually use the wood surface as a mirror. Can't imagine what the engine compartment looked like. I wanted to find out more about it, but the owner was not around. Can't imagine the price either!

Any relation to the Garwood mansion in Detroit that burned down in the 70s.
We used to go there at night just to scare the hell out ourselves.
Edit, I did some research and Gar Wood was a speed boat racer in the thirtys. He had a mansion built on the Detroit river. What a wild place that was.
