The name Garwood on the side is that of a wood boat manufacturer. The made boats in the 20's, 30's and 40's - it also says new. Here is a link to their historical site. Every thing about it was spectacular from the wood to the interior. You could actually use the wood surface as a mirror. Can't imagine what the engine compartment looked like. I wanted to find out more about it, but the owner was not around. Can't imagine the price either! Tom 1979 Sport 15'

Any relation to the Garwood mansion in Detroit that burned down in the 70s. We used to go there at night just to scare the hell out ourselves.
