I just bought a 2004 Nantucket and the bottom is not painted. It is wrapped and winterized, so I don't want to have to wet it to mark the waterline. Does anyone have measurements for a good line?
I have done a lot of bottom painting and recommend you splash the boat to get a true waterline. The waterline will differ on each boat depending on options and accessories on your boat. It will also look much better if you have the correct water line for your particular boat.
I agree, You need to splash her cause each nantucket has a different config, engine, assessories etc...take a look at DAs Boat, my 2004 and you will see picks with a lot of canvas and a pic without, waterline changes with what you have on her, and number of people as well.
