1966 Nauset 16 model
I am in Massachusetts and would like to trail my 16 Nauset up to N.H. for lake use. Am I required to get a N.H. boating license for that?
I do have a current USCG 100 Ton Capt. license. Would that satisfy New Hampshire in lieu of the state certificate?
Thanks!

Geoff: If you really want to live free and not die, just keep driving through NH to VT. Launch at Shelburne and enjoy a better boating life on Lake Champlain. "Be on your vacation, not someone elses."

I like that a lot Weatherly!!!!! I live on Cape Cod and while the boating is good around here ( I also own a 25 Seacraft) I am looking forward to more relaxed lake boating so am open to all suggestions as to where to visit.
Thanks again!

Geoff: On second thought, avoid travel through NH all together. Too many toll roads. NH is crazy now with toll roads. Look up the mean of the word "shunpiking." Track an overland travel route from the Cape to VT via 495 and route 2 to route 7 North into the state of VT. Plan to stop at the Clark Museum in Williamstown (www.clarkart.edu/) where you can take a break and see a permenent collection of Winslow Homer, among other prominent artists. Then proceed North into VT via route 7. Beautiful scenery along the route 7 North roadway. You can plan to stop in Bennington and visit the Bennington Battle Monument that commemorates the Bennington battle during the American Revolutionary War. You will have a variety of boat ramps to choose from once you reach Vt and the shores of Lake Champlain. All ramps are free. Only boating persons born after 1974 need a boat license in VT.
