BRP displayed the new 3.4 V6 300 Etec at a show in Brazil. It has a new lower unit with the pickups on the upper half of the nose of the bullet, not really a high perf/surfacing capable lower, but definately a nice setup for the fisherman who wants to rasie the motor higher than a std lower. The motor is only 2 star compliant, so if your a tree hugger your still out of luck. I was hoping BRP would revive the old V8 design and give it the Etec treatment, but this is a step in the right direction at least. I'd rather see a 300 hp V6 2 stroke than a giant 350 hp V8 4 stroke. I'll go out onb a limb and say the specs for the 300 are the same or close to the same as the 250 HO that was released a few months back. So who's going to be the first to drop one of these on thier 22 Outrage?
