I just called Tempo Products for a replacement washer for my 27 Gallon Tempo C2814 above deck tank on my Montauk and they said that they went out of business last month (September) and they no longer sold any spare parts and had shut down the production lines.

Anyone know where to get the washer that goes under the fuel guage on the 27 gallon tank?

Thanks!

MD,

That's too bad about Tempo.
Funny that their website is still up and running though.

I would look at Bass Pro, Cabela's, Overton, or other online catalogs and see what you can come up with. You might also give Cabela's a call. They sometimes have things that aren't listed in their catalog.

MD,
If Joe's suggestion doesn't result in locating the washer that you need, look for a local hose supply company. I purchased a Tempo 29 gallon fuel dock dolly several years ago and needed to replace the hose. Hecht Rubber Company here in Jacksonville, Florida, made the hose for me. It wasn't cheap, but it is more durable than the original. I looked at Hecht's online cataog index and saw a listing for washers. Good luck on your search!

JLH49,
how did you like the gas dolly? I was considering getting one since I have no marine gas stations close.

Kamie,
The dolly has been a godsend during my week long vacations in the Florida Keys. Gas prices at marinas there are very expensive compared to buying it at service station pumps. I purchase about 27 gallons at a time. With my 150 Yammie four stroke, it's not that often. I did not purchase the pump. It takes a little longer to dispense without the pump, but the extra time is no big deal. The dolly has fairly large air filled tires so moving it around is not that difficult. The original fill hose was not very durable, but the replacement referenced in my previous post should last a lot longer.

Buy a piece of rubber gasket material at a hardware store and cut your own. Will take all of 2 minutes and use $3 worth of material. Use the old one as a template or just eyeball it.

Makes you wonder if someone is going to pick up the spare parts business for Tempo. There are alot of tanks out there. I'm not sure what really is needed in spares? I honestly cant say Ive needed a spare part for any tank I have had. Normally just hoses, connectors or fuel senders which I believe are available from aftermarket sources.
