Boat ran fine 2 weeks ago. Put it in water to day after checking battery, connections and fuses. Went to start it up and just a click in the engine. Starter did not engage. Taking to my mechanic on Tuesday but thought I’d bring it up here and see if there are any ideas?
I would start by loosening, wiggling, and retightening all connections from the battery to the starter. Both positive and negative sides. If still no love, use a volt meter to check the voltage at each point, looking for a voltage drop. If it is a bad cable, or a bad solenoid, this is a way to find it.
