I just picked up an 1978 V20 Outrage boat currently has a 1994 175hp evinrude Ocean Pro. I am going to be repowering it and was looking for so really world data from people who have repowered there. I am looking at using a f150 Yamaha or since I already have a F70 on my current 17 montauk I might pull that motor off and mount twin f70's on this outrage.
Let me know what you think.

Compare that Yamaha F150 against the Merc 150 Fourstroke. Merc just released a new "ProXS" version of this engine, which would be your strongest and lightest fourstroke option in the 150-class engines.
You might also want to study the new Merc 3.4L V6 Fourstrokes, which are offered in 175-200-225 versions. They only weigh 475 lbs (20" shaft). These would offer performance more on par with the 175 HP Ocean Pro.
