Correct spark plug - 1987 Yamaha 150ETXH

The only information I can find is from a service manual I found on line but I believe that was a 2006 manual. It called for a NGK BR7HS-10, that's what was in the engine when I bought it but a local marine store said it should be an 8 not 7. Any help? Thanks, Dennis
