Just when you thought you've heard it all...Some local thieves stole a new Whaler and are now holding it for ransom. Here is the story in the local paper, click or cut and paste the link.

Mike,

Maybe they found out they couldn't KILL the whaler. I bet they tried cutting it in 3 pieces and trying to sink the evidence but that didn't work....

I guess these thieves think they need more drugs but obviously their brains are already fried....

Its a crazy story. The dealership is located in the heart of Annapolis where there is plenty of traffic. Those small Whalers are very popular here. Hopefully it will be recovered and the thieves arrested.

That is the most ridiculous story I have read in some time. Almost sound like insurance fraud. You could have parted that boat out and gotten $3,000 for it in no time. Good thing most criminals are dumb as it should make the cops job easier.

Get the Dog's, get the shot guns, we're going to go get the "whaler" ! sound's like something that you would read in the "NY Post". As far as being a crowded place to steal something, one time I was coming back from "Manahattan" to L.I. from a "candy delivery", when I was a driver for a candy company. I stopped at "Nathan's" in Coney Island and grabbed a Hot Dog, when I returned the van was broken into, and everything was gone, including the hand truck, there was a cop on all four corner's where I parked, go figya.
