Hello all. I'm thinking of repowering my 13ft Whaler and I'm not sure if I should get a short or a long shaft. What would be the correct length?

I'll check to see if I can determine the model of my whaler when I get home.

Something happened to the address when I put it in the first time.

Ok. Yes, my Boston Whaler is 1983. What would be the shaft length for the outboard? Is there a recommended range? Sorry I'm a noob.

You want a 20" or long shaft version of the motor.

As for horsepower, keep close attention to engine weight. Some 4 stroke motors and one DFI are heavy.
