Hi All,

I have a 1970 Sakonnet and am looking to add a trolling motor to the boat. It would be ideal to mount it on the bow, but the rails are obviously too thin. Has anyone seen any good ideas for how to approach this?

I don't want to lose the integrity of the restoration with a piece of sheet metal up front, and would like the look to fit with the rest of the boat.

I have also considered getting a Minn Kota Riptide transom mounted trolling motor. Has anyone done this and liked it? Please let me know.

Thanks,
Chase Powell
