I've heard of someone putting twins on a Montauk. Anyone out there have pics or have heard of this? Is there enough room? Shock

You must have missed the Montauk with Twins in the Personal Page section of JB's....

I have seen several other Montauks with twins through the years...

Nice Joe. Didn't think you could put twins on the back of a Montauk. I stand corrected! I would imagine twin 50's would be a nice set up. I wonder how JB's boat went with the twin 30's?

Twin 50's or 60's would get my vote --

This is from the comments section of his personal page;

"Joe yes they are 30 hp. JB is my friend. They run @ 30 nm per hr with 3 people. cheers Jeremy"

There's one by me, I think it has twin 70's (not sure) but, It's twins on a 17' Montauk for sure. It's on "Milburn Creek" in Baldwin, L.I.

I also know of a 16 Nauset with twin 45's on a Lake in Northern Michigan. I have also seen images of a Nauset in California with twin 40 Yamaha 4 strokes. It did not seem to sit to low in the stern from all that weight.

Here are the images.

These are from Littleblue's image shack site.

Very nice, would never have imagined. Seeing all the trouble I went through getting my kicker set up I don't think I would change to twins. Looks great though. Wink
