No different except for the electric start.... L = Long Shaft is 20 inches though..... XL = Extra Long Shaft is 25 inches..... XXL = Extra, Extra Long Shaft is 30 inches....

Not sure what Mercury calls it. Andy Gere has one on his Mercury kicker I believe.... Check with your Mercury dealer. I hate mixing fuel too.... That's why I chose the Mixer....
