I need help my husband is upset because we are ready to buy a new Whaler and we were set on two and both times when I told him it was ok to buy the boat they were gone he is very sad....He has his heart set on a Boston Whaler and we are ready to buy there just aren't any on the market right now. We are looking to spend up to 14,000 and we basically just need it for family fishing. We would prefer a 4 stroke motor, but at this point if a good 2 stroke boat is available we would be willing to buy it. THanks for you help in advance now I have to go and try and cheer up my husband.
Don't panic! We are nearing the end of the"Boating Season" and with the colder months approaching you will see more and more boats becoming available. Just be patient and wait on your Whaler and don't settle for anything else just because you want a boat. The wait and search will be well worth it. Keep checking EBAY, Boattrader and iboats. One will appear Good Luck!

Hi Roboyam, Be patient, please. Don't worry, for every boat you miss, there's probably more that will come down the pipeline. While you're waiting, save up even more and you'll be in a better position next time your "dream whaler" comes by. Also, look at craigslist.com under 'boat'. $14k? Hey, you can find a lot for that price. Even here in the San Francisco Bay Area(left coast), there are 18' outrages
that are advertised at less than your price (yes, they're in good condition).

I know both of you said tobe patient, but guess what my husband is not to patient he drove down to Southern California last night and he is currently picking up a 1996 Dauntless Boston Whaler we really like the seating configuration we have an 11 year in a wheelchair and it looks like this type of boat will be very comfortable for him. I think we got a good deal. Thanks for all your help and if any of you are on the Sacramento River this weekend say hi we are going to be on the river for a casual holiday outing in our new(used) Boston Whaler both my boys are very excited!
Tell you're husband not to feel bad, it's part of owning a Boston Whaler, it's the very 1st thing that we ALL learned, when looking at a prospective "BUY" on a "Whaler" for sale, there are two things "The quick, and the dead", if your NOT fast on the draw, you lose the boat ! It is very disappointing sometimes but, as stated above, you usually find something better down the road after sharpening up your "Marksmanship" skill's, at least he's holding out for the best boat in it's class, send some pics, we love pics..
