I use an app, www.saltwatertides.com. You can use the app or web version on a phone, but the phone app is easier in that format.
And, it is a free download. I keep it as one of my shortcuts along with the NOAA buoys in my area.

I don't use apps... not smart enough for a smartphone. I use Jtides which is bookmarked on my browser. My Garmin GPS also has tides for all the local stations.

Navionics Boating HD on Android, tablet and my PC
I'll have charts, plotter, and any other marine info & data, no matter which boat I'm on including inland lakes.

There is a free app called Tides Near Me. I have it on iPhone. I don't know if they make it for Android phones.

I've tried pretty much every tide app that I could for iPhone, and by far my favorite is TideTrac. It's not free though, I think it costs a whopping $2.
One thing to watch for in tide apps is that some of them require an internet connection to work. That's a deal breaker for me. TideTrac (like a bunch of others) doesn't.
