I have put a 2000 25hp Johnson 3 cylinder 3 carburetor motor on my 13ft sport. Ran it for the 1st time and found that full throttle if I touch my knee to controls while holding stainless steering wheel, I would get popped good. Where do I look for ground trouble? Thanks gunvalues . ):
My newly purchased 15' Sport ( 1977) has a 50 horse Mercury that gave me a shock every time I touched the steering wheel and the throttle. When I took it to my mechanic he merely attached a ground wire from the motor to the metal connection at the throttle, and the problem was solved.
