It with great sadness that I report the passing of Nate Rowe (Newt). I just learned that he passed away at the beginning of this year.
Nate was a member of the Merrimack River whaler group owning several boats including a 80's Montauk, Revenge 20WT and a Revenge 25. He and his family joined us on outings to the Isle of Shoals, Merrimack River, Piscatisqua River, and Cape Ann. He even came up to Portland to visit me and take a harbor cruise.
He had a wicked sense of humor and despite me constantly ribbing him, a true friend.
Phil, thank you very much for sharing the passing of your friend. It was so interesting to read and view the pictures of your trip with him.
