We would like to restore our '86 to as near original as possible. We called Sue at Twin Cities who said that she could order the gas can mats in the original brown color (rather than the current gray) if she got enough orders. So if anyone out there needs new mats and would like brown, please call Sue and let her know.
Also, we have had no luck finding the original white battery box - apparently, from the responses we get from the dealers, a lot of other people are looking too. We have an original box and were wondering if anyone had looked into having these made. The one we have could be used to make a mold.

I would like to find new fuel tank mats in any color (original color would be preferable). Can anyone provide info to contact "Sue at Twin Cities." and info on where to get the mats now. Thanks.
doodyb,
How do you plan to secure the new mats to the deck? My old mats are mounted with rivets. Did you remove your old mats? Were they riveted? Did you find evidence of water getting in through the rivets?
Sorry for so many questions, but I'm trying to see if I have another project on my hands.
