Howdy
My, new to me, Whaler is a 1988 15' center console with an Evinrude E-tec 60 and the foo-foo instrument group.
So far have only been out on freshwater lakes bass fishing but plan to do some salmon fishing and crabbing in the bays.
I recently installed a Garmin Echo 551DV with the transducer on a "mounting board" on the transom and hope to go out later today to fine tune the transducer placement.
I'm also considering a marine vhf for those days when I'm in bays to track weather and have a boat to boat and coast guard connection.
I did install a waterproof Bluetooth microphone so my cell phone can stay safely in a dry bag..........
My last boat (Nitro) was in a covered dock so I'm new to launching/retrieving from a trailer........guess experience will increase my comfort level.......
Hope to meet other Whaler owners in the area as I'm feeling that this is a very special boat.
