OK, so I'm sitting around a friends pool a few weeks ago when the topic turns to boats. I mentioned that I was looking for another boat...one that could go on the mooring out front and my son (16) could use to get a little more comfortable power boating with. I have a 20' Yamaha jet that I didn't want to volunteer for the mission! Anyway, another friend that was there mentioned he had one for sale-a little red Whaler. After he described it for a minute, I had a pretty good idea what boat it was. His wife hates boating and after one ride in it a couple of years ago w/the family, refused to have anything to do with it.
Having grown up one town over from where the Whaler factory was here just south of Boston (now the site of a Home Depot), I'm no stranger to the boats and said "Sure, I'll take a look at it".
The Mischief is now sitting on the mooring. All in all, I think it's in pretty good shape for it's age. It came with the original '89 Yamaha 70 that purrs like new.
I guess my question is this.....What sort of interest is there in this particular model? I plan on putting in the garage this fall and doing some work to it over the winter....just not too sure yet how extensive I want to go with it. I haven't been able to find a lot of info on these so any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Take a look on our site here:

If I had a lot of money and a large storage area, I would have one in the showroom.
They are neat looking and serve the purpose for which they were designed.
Water Skiing and Cruising... or?

Congrats on your new Whaler and you got a rare one at that. I love mine for just hitting the sandbars on the weekends with my wife or blasting around. The red gelcoat is definately a labor of love as I wet sand and buff mine out every dozen trips out or so to keep it shiny and new looking. It draws a crowd everywhere it goes which always strikes up interesting conversations about speed boats and Whalers. I have even caught fish from it, but just did it to say I could lol Grin get some pics up of it, but I think I know the exact boat you got. I looked at pretty much every Mischief I could find and actually ended up going to Mn for mine. i know where theres a VERY clean red one with a 100 merc on it in in if anyones interested, but it's not cheap.
