Will be building a personal page soon.
It came with the 1984 Whaler Catalog and the Whaler Accessories Catalog.

It was originally a Cuddy and was converted. Needs new decals. Console is also 3" further aft than it should be.

That is a beautiful boat! Very impressive. The big console is NICE -- looks like plenty of storage in there (is that a "super console"?)
How did your vehicle (Explorer, or 4Runner?) do hauling the load?
I can't imagine why you would, but if you ever decide to repower to a single, get in touch with me. I might be interested in one of those Yamaha 115s.

Yes - Super Console.
Towed it with a GMC Acadia (my wife's car). It was a lot better than expected. My Toyota pickup has 250,000 miles on it. I didn't want to chance it on an 800 mile trip.
When I need to repower it will be because those engines will be shot. We wanted the twins to feel more comfortable taking it to Block Island and Rhode Island from Long Island.

Super Console -- neat!
Understood on the re-power. That is a very capable arrangement you have there -- no reason to change a thing.
That's impressive hauling for an Acadia. Does it have the standard engine/transmission, or an upgrade?

Acadias are rated for 5000 lbs. My friend has one and pulls a 24 ft. boat. Does a nice job.

My Honda Pilot did not do so well towing the 19 Outrage back from Florida. It supposedly has a 4500 lbs towing capacity, but the 3-3.5K load seemed to put a big strain on it. It was the transmission more so than the engine that seemed to struggle. Good thing there are almost no hills on I-95 between Virginia and Florida.

That is why I put the Acaida in L and manually shifted. The computer would occasionally take over and shift for me. I have never towed something that big before so I have nothing to compare it to.
I have to take it 75 more miles this Friday to our beach house, where it will stay. I am contemplating pulling it out with my 95 Tacoma. Frame is a bit rusted and that is scaring me.

The Pilot is a basic 5-speed auto transmission, but unfortunately there is no way to limit it to 4th gear for highway towing. It's either "D", which uses all 5-speeds, or "D3" which only uses the first 3 speeds. In "D" at 60-62 mph the engine was lugging at 1900 rpm, and in D3 it was revving at 3100+ or so. I would have liked to select D4 and have the engine around 2500 rpm.
Can you use the Acadia again for the final leg? You know it will do the job!

Yes - but I also have a lot of work to do at our beach house. I don't like using the Acadia for hauling lumber and construction debris to the dump. I also love my pickup. It has a 5 speed and is well worn.
