Yesterday, my wife and fishing partner went out in our 1998 Dauntless 15. The tide was in on one of our favorite spots, Radio Tower Flats in Sarasota Bay. We drifted, west to east, with 2 feet of water over the flat and I caught a really nice 23" speckled trout.

I noticed today (thanks to Facebook "one year ago today") that I posted a picture of a 24" Speckled Trout taken on Radio Tower Flat while drifting west to east in 2 feet of water. Checking the GPS coordinates on the 2 photos taken show it to be in almost the same spot, on the same flat...........one year later, to the day.

Hello Gary, I bet you will be the first to say the "Deja Vous" can sure taste sweet. The wife and I have not settled yet on a day to visit but will certainly check with you far in advance. Till then, happy boating day's and safe fishing...

Hello once again Sir, just noticed your new rod holders installed into the rear casting deck. Looks great, I did a similar install a couple of years back. Mine are a few more inches inward from yours due to my not having the square live well as you do.

I also factored if I ever have a custom removable back rest made similar to the type used with a leaning post the rod holders will serve perfectly. See ya...

The rear deck rod holders work great. We generally use them to drift fish cut bait on sturdy rods for sharks and other deeper water critters (deep water for us is anything over 7 feet, LOL). We used to have to use the side rail holders, but that meant not being able to cast to the side as we are liking to do.

However, a couple of weeks ago my friend and I were out and had two sharks hooked on the rear rods at the same time we had another fish on a third rod, that ran around the back of the boat and created one God-awful tangle of lines. Great time, though...
