I just wanted to thank Boston Whaler for their poor treatment at the Ft. Lauderdale show...
Over the past 40 years, my family and I have owned more Boston Whalers than any other brand boat...
I was excited to see the new 420. That is until I approached it.
Rude salesman blocking access to the boat for anyone other than their chosen few. No questions about salesmen, interest, whatever... We had just finished speaking to one of their salesmen on 270 Dauntless...perhaps I was disqualified because I looked at a 150 Super Sport to get a price for a friend that is going to buy a new one this month.
We got on a lot of boats yesterday...many in the class that Whaler hopes to compete in with the 420. I didn't experence the contempt anywhere else. Perhaps there is a reason I like the classics...
Hopefully it will spend a little time at Lauderdale Marina away from the factory folks.
That boat was the main reason I wanted to go to the show...Thanks Whaler..
All that said, the window in the side of the hull looks better in person than in pictures....
