I am looking at a 1989 Montauk 17 with a 2002 - 90 hp "Tracker by Mercury Marine" motor. I cannot find any mention of the Tracker on the Mercury Marine website and am wondering if anyone is familiar with the Tracker? Are parts available for this motor etc. Thanks.
The motor is the same as any standard carbed 90hp Mercury motor of that year. Since it really is just a Merc 90 there is no problem sourcing parts. The motor must have came off a tracker bass boat.
Thank you; looks like I'll finally get my Whaler. This Montauk 17 is in very good condition and comes with a mooring cover, the 2002 Engine and a brand new trailer.
