Iam trying to figure out how to attach the two banana cushions to the boat . It has snaps but I would like to avoid drilling holes to attach the male part with screws. Can the male part be put on with 3M 5200? Iam lookin for ideas ...Are screws the only way ?? Help !!! Thanks Bob

Bob, I am afraid a mechanical attachment is the only way to attach the male side of the snaps to the hull. Any glue of adhesive overtime will fail and could even create more of mess than a simple drill hole that would be patched with a little spectrum filler paste.

I'm not sure what a banana cushion is, but I had bench cushions made for my sport and had them add 2 overlapping straps with velcro on them to avoid adding snaps to the seats. Works really well. I can send you a pic if that will help any

I just added bannana cushions to my 18 outrage and attached these with the provided hardware (screws). Its not as bad as you think.

Pre-drill each hole at a time. One at a time. Make sure you get the right stretch for placement. A friend of mine showed me a trick to dip the point of the screw in 5200 prior to screwing in. This seems like it provides a pretty good seal.

here's a thought...if you have EZ Pass(they call it FAST LANE) in Mass., they attach the tag to the windshield with little strips of SUPER velcro. They have super sticky adhesive on the backside and really butch velcro that really holds...
Just go to a FASTLANE Toll Booth and ask the teller for some replacement strips...they'll hand you a wad of 'em....might be just the ticket for attaching semi permanent cushions......
