optimal johnson 115hp engine mounting height 1997 outrage 17
hello. My 17 outrage has a V spay and is hard to plane with people sitting in the back. After some reading i found that the problem may be my engine height. For those people that have a 17 outrage with a johnson 115 which hole is your engine mounted on?
A friend of mine has a 1996 model and his 115 Johnson is mounted all the way down.
The people in the back seats get soaked.
We are going to raise his engine this year but he also needs to drill the lower holes as this motor was mounted using the blind holes.
Go figure. Why they did that I have no idea.
Anyway, we are going to experiment.
One hole up first and then continue up from there as needed to stop the spray and improve the performance and economy.
