I recently bought a '94 Rage Whaler Jet with a 115 Evinrude. The motor runs great but seems to have no power at all jumping out of the hole. At a dead stop you can push it to full throttle and the motor revs to 5000 almost imediatley. And yet it takes forever to plane off. It is my experience that jet boats are usually peppy out of the hole. Does anyone have any advice on this problem or have had similar one. Any advice would be appreciated!
I had read somewhere where the rubber hose leading into the exhaust muffler can weaken and collapse, and if that happens, it can reduce power, check that out
