From the factory my 60 Bigfoot is mounted "2 holes up" or the middle hole of 5 holes. My cavitation plate when I am in the back looking at it is just barely under the water when running. I am going to get a stainless prop in the 14' pitch --- am now running the std. Black Max alum. in a 15' pitch. Even in a sharp turn there is no "blowing out" on the current prop. My question is has anyone with my set-up raised there motor to "3 holes up" OR did my standing in the back of a small boat affect the depth of the plate OR will a stainless prop help raise the stern a quarter to half an inch ?
