New boater here so a little guidance would help.
Got the boat 3 weeks ago and last week rubbed lightly over sand bar at low tide.
Boat now seems to tilt to the left when going fast. Tilting the outboard up sightly helps the situation but it is still a little unnerving. The boat is a 1997 dauntless dual console with a 115 Evinrude Ocean Pro. Outboard has a trim tab over the propeller that rotates to allow for fine tuning. Any ideas on where to look to fix the problem?
If you are referring the small zinc tab under the cavitation plate that would not tilt the boat. That tab will compensate for pull from the rotation of the prop, right or left. Have you inspected the lower unit? A bent skeg may do this, although it would really need to bent to the degree of breaking.
Under normal circumstances there will be a very subtle tilting from the high RPM/rotation of the prop, but only very slight. If you feel you are about to be dumped out off the side, that is another problem….
Have you shifted anything about lately, heavy items like batteries etc.

I guess when we bought the boat it was leaning to the left when going fast..I didn't remember it when we purchased the boat but my wife thought she felt it at the seatrial but we were doing alot of twisting and turning so it would not be as apparent. You only feel it at high speed and only on a straight line. The boat sits in the water level and goes at slower speeds just fine. Could the motor be at an angle instead of perpendicular to the boat? Is there a good way to measure if this is the problem? Tried a different prop but still had the lean. The skeg looked fine to.
