Good Morning
I have a 1973 Mercury 850 on a 17' 1962ish Boston Whaler Eastport "project boat"
It has the floor mounted, Oildyne (I think??) brand 4 hose hydraulic trim/tilt
I have replaced the Mercury Tilt trim Motor with a newer used Motor. It worked great up, kind of slow going down. Anyhow, we get all of Boat repairs done to go to the lake. Drop her in she goes up/down
Load up the boat and the tilt goes up just fine.
Get Home.....
Now she winds up and won't go down?
After the lake I have a laundry list of things to do on the Project Boat, but what is going on with this?
I have read you can pull them up too much??
Possible O-ring leak in the Oildyne assembly??
Anything helps!
Thank you for your time on this matter
