My gear shift shaft on my 1989 Yamaha 130 is rusting through and is pencil lead thin. Does anyone know how to replace the shaft without taking off the power head? I heard of a kit with a stainless steel shaft for $239.00 that can replace the worn out shaft without removing the head.
