This will be the perfect match for the 170 that I currently am planning to repower. Off to Miami boat show next weekend to check it out. I think I will wait for the shipment 2nd qtr. Should be worth it!

It's ironic that Yamaha is going to be offering a 115 HP four stroke outboard that is 25 pounds LIGHTER than Mercury's 75 HP four stroke and about that same weight as Mercury's 75 HP two stroke. Mercury has a LOT of catching up to do.

Maybe the market is all about 90's and 115's.... It would be fun to think about a redesigned lighter yamaha 100 on the transom of a Whaler classic 16/17. 1989 Montauk 17' w/ F70 Yamaha
