While my 15' Sport is in for Linex I would like to hear opinions on mounting a 60 hp Merc. I am using a CMC 5" setback jack plate & a stainless backing plate on the inside of the transom. Which would be better, to hard mount it to the transom or should I put a 1/16" rubber gasket between the plates & the transom?(with Sikaflex on the bolts of course) What would be the torque of the bolts?
Thanks Tom, much appreciated. I have looked in my engine owners manual & in the 15" owners manual but was unable to loacte the engine mounting bolt torque. Would anybody know what they are or where I can referance them?
