I do not have an owner's manual - need help. i can't find documentation online.
I get a rapid-fire sounding warning alarm when running wide open (or over 5000 rpms or so) for more than 10-15 seconds. it decreases in volume when i pull back. when running at 3000 to 4200 rpms - no problem. the VRO is disabled.
This is not a constant alarm and not a beep every 2 seconds but more like 2-3 beeps per second.
Here is an article on the testing of the alarm system. If your VRO system is disconnected I would have to assume it is an OVERHEAT alarm. When was the last time the water pump was replaced? Also does your motor have the OEM tell tail pisser fitting? If it is missing the OEM tell tail fitting the engine could be overheating because it is not getting water to the top of the block.
