I have a 1995 Rage 14 with the 115 Turbojet, and have torn the motor down due to low compression in 1 cylinder.
What I found was a lot of dents in the top of the piston, as well as on the flat surface of the head near where the gasket sits. I will try to attach a photo.
I am going to get a new piston, but my question is: Can the head be salvaged, or do I need to try and find a new one?
thanks for any help!
I think I would take it to a machine shop and get their opinion. Looks like a busted spark plug was bangin' around in there for a bit. You might try and clean up the head( minimal grinding to smooth out) and make sure the head is flat across the gasket surface.
