Suzuki's next-gen 150 and 175 have appeared on Suzuki Australia's Suzuki website, as well as on some British websites. I suppose we may see them in North America next year.
The new models incorporate Suzuki's Lean Burn and support Electronic Controls...but are heavier than the previous versions at 491# for an L and 502# for an XL.
Suzuki makes a fine engine, especially for saltwater use. I just repowered my 25 Outrage with a 250 Suzuki (had a 300 Optimax) and I'm as happy as can be. I only lost about 3 mph on top-end and picked up almost 1 mpg at cruise. My next-door neighbor has a 25 with a 250 Yamaha 4S and the Suzuki runs all over it as far as power goes. Fuel burn is about the same between the 2.
