I have a 2012 150 HP Verado. Last time I went out, sea water was squirting out of the cap for the engine flushing hose. I called the Whaler dealer and he said I probably sucked some sand into the system and the spring got stuck open allowing the water to pass through. He said all I need to do is flush it and it will come out. I flushed it twice, 15 minutes ea. and hooked up the muff to the intake, no change. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do next?
It is still under warranty but with the striper fishing and crabbing so good right now, I hate to lose the boat for a week or two sitting on the repair lot if it's a simple fix. I guess I don't have any choice since no one is familiar with this problem.
