Hey all

Question - if I'm leaving my montauk for the week in the lake - is it best to have the engine tiled all the way up or do u suggest leaving it down in the water? The Manual says up but noone else on the lake seems to do this. I figured I'd ask some of the experts here :)

No expert but I'd say (and do) up especially if it gets it all the way out of the water. Growth and corrosion?

Also turn the engine to get the steering control arm into the grease. Probably not a big issue in fresh water, but it sucks if your steering freezes from corrosion.

A week in fresh water lake will not harm your motor. Tilt it enough to keep it off the bottom and it will be fine.
