Really need to add a power trim to my 1985 Johnson 30 as we run alot of shallow water and beaching. Not easy to cruise into the beach stand up turn around and try to tilt that 30; it's damn heavy and never mind leaving the shallows!
I am told they never offered a trim kit for the short shaft.
Bought this motor brand new and runs like a top; can't afford to replace as I just shelled out big $ for my 90 E-Tec.
Any ideas, modifications from other motors, aftermarkets?
I have seen the handle that clamps to the top of motor , but looks cheesey.
