Idle adjustment

The screw might be located near the center carburetor. Your idle sounds about right though, at most 750 rpm would be max setting. Idle rpm in gear (trolling speed) should be 600 rpm (+/-) 50. Member Personal Page Posts: 102 Comments: 0 Joined: 01/22/12	I don't know for sure about your yamaha, but most outboards idle with the butterflies all the way closed and idle speed is adjusted with idle timing.
